SCENE 1
Hello and welcome to Our 5th Annual Voices in Harmony Celebration. A concert featuring talented singers, dancers and musicians from surrounding schools showcasing our neurodivergent communities.
Let’s give them a round of applause.
My name is Ashley Tobias, but you can call me TOBI and I am the education outreach manager here at the performing arts school.
This year’s theme, “Self love”.
Teaching self-love to students is crucial for their overall well-being and development. Self-love fosters a positive self-image and self-acceptance, which are foundational for mental and emotional health.
By instilling the principles of self-love early, educators and teaching artists help students build a strong sense of self-worth that can positively influence their academic performance, social relationships, and future success.
Through our arts education and outreach program at BergenPAC's Performing Arts School, our mission is to empower and inspire our surrounding communities. Today, we are thrilled to showcase the incredible progress and achievements of our neurodivergent students.

Ashley
Is everyone having a good time?? I’m so excited to be here today. I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I get really excited, I have all this energy and I feel a little overwhelmed or anxious, so if you wouldn’t mind helping me calm some of this energy, I would really appreciate that.
I just wanted to take a moment and just breathe. So would you breathe with me?
Let’s take a nice Deep breathe in—-- Deep breath out
Deep breath in— make a noise on the way out
Last deep breath in– and shake it all out.
I am feeling SO much better. Thank you so much for that. Now I’m ready for our next school.
